Body
From: Az Carmen

The College of Education at the University of Oregon has just received a second grant from the Department of Education in Washington D.C.! We will be able to fund 10 more students through the Native American Teachers Program for the 2004-2005 year.

If you know of any Native American students who have already earned a
Bachelor's degree who might be interested in our teaching scholarship,
please have them contact me. Our deadlines are in January and February of 2004 for both the teaching program and the scholarship program.

-- The program is between 1 and 1/2 years to 2 years in length depending on the specialty.
-- Tuition, in-state and out-of state, is covered.
-- Applicants do not have to be current residents of Oregon.
-- Students receive a stipend, plus additional funding for books and fees.
-- Students with a family receive a childcare allowance for up to two children.
