TitleNew Listserv: Linguistics of Ancient Languages
Body
From http://linguistlist.org/issues/18/18-1846.html

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new mail-server list, designed to facilitate communication between postgraduate students working in any of the fields of linguistics of ancient languages.

The list is called ancientpglinguisticslists.bham.ac.uk

The list aims to encourage discourse between those working on any linguistic aspect of ancient languages, primarily focused towards postgraduate researchers. However, all are welcome to participate in list discussions that would like to keep abreast of postgraduate developments in this field. With recognition of the interdisciplinary nature of the topic, chronological boundaries have been set from the ancient Near East to the early medieval period (including Italic, Celtic and Old English). Linguistic fields can encompass all aspects of the subject, including theoretical linguistics, socio-, historical and contact linguistics.

In order to subscribe to the list, please e-mail SUBSCRIBE ancientpglinguistics to owner-ancientpglinguisticslists.bham.ac.uk .
