The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) at the University of Oregon seeks a test developer. The test developer shall be responsible for developing content and questions for online language tests. The test developer will also provide assistance in other aspects of assessment projects.

Minimum qualifications: M.A. in linguistics, second language education, or related field (B.A. with relevant experience considered.); high-level oral and written communication skills in English; experience learning at least one second language.

Preferred qualifications: experience or training in educational test development; experience or training in second language education; background in linguistics; advanced-level proficiency in Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, German, Hindi, or Arabic; experience serving the needs of diverse populations. This is a one-year, 1.0 FTE research assistant appointment, starting on June 16, 2007.
