Andie Cunningham and Ruth Shagoury will take you into Andie's classroom, where you will view video from reading and writing workshops with five-, six- and seven-year-olds. These children speak six different first languages, and have a tremendous variety of home experiences with literacy. Andie and Ruth will share practical strategies for fostering literacy across many different languages, assessing and tracking literacy growth, communicating with parents, and collaborating with colleagues.
