Title | Cross Cultural Communication Partners Sought |
Body | From: "Hajime Kumahata" Dear Japanese language teachers, My name is Hajime Kumahata and I work for Rice University as Language Technology Consultant. My friend, Dr. Masamichi Okubo, Associate Professor at Tokyo Polytechnic University, and I would like to invite you to our project in cross cultural communication. We are looking for 12-15 American college students studying Japanese language to communicate with Japanese peers through internet. The objective, communication tools, and activities are listed in the proposal, which can be viewed via this link (http://www.kumahata.com/edu/crossculturalproject.html) I understand that your semester has already begun and this may be too late of notice. But if you are interested in this project and have students who can participate in Japanese, please let us know. We will honor the "first come, first serve" system due to the limited number that we can accept. Since I will be the coordinator in the States' side, I will do my best to assist you in any way, including technological issues. Lastly, we would like to emphasis that this is a one semester only project and the content is not subject for research. Thank you, Hajime Kumahata Language Technology Consultant Rice University Rayzor Hall 227A Houston, TX 77005 USA Phone: 713-348-6183 Fax: 713-348-5846 Email: langtech@rice.edu |
