REACH Institute for K-12 Educators: Learn to implement the REACH programs in your classroom. Explore the basic principles and concepts of multicultural awareness through a combination of hands-on activities and lectures. Receive nationally validated REACH program materials, including classroom-tested curriculum, for your particular grade emphasis. Special presentations provide you with multicultural perspectives in understanding prejudice and racism, implementing effective cross-cultural strategies and valuing diversity. Dates: Thursday and Friday, October 9-10, 2003 Schedule: 8:00 - 8:30 am each day - Continental Breakfast Program: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm each day Cost: $300 per participant (includes all materials plus continental breakfast and lunch each day) Location: Comfort Suites Downtown Seattle Center 601 Roy Street, Seattle, WA Hotel Accommodations: Please call the Comfort Suites at 206-282-2600 and ask for the REACH Conference rates The REACH Center encourages organizations to send a team that represents a balance of diversity to the Institute and/or Training of Trainers session. The development of a local team can save money and provide on-going support to the organizations adopting REACH.
