TitleSuggestions for Teaching Telling Time

I am about to introduce telling time in French to my 2 Level 1 classes. I have used manipulatives before (each student gets a little clock on which they have to set the time that I or a classmate says). Does anyone have any other ideas for teaching this unit?

I like to copy movie listings from the paper or TV schedules and then ask them questions about those times. It usually sparks a good TL conversation about whether or not they've seen it or if it is good or not etc.

After they learn the basics, I start randomly asking them Quelle heure est-il? at all times of the period, very randomly, to see who is getting it and who isn't, every day, going forward. We also play telling time bingo. We also make paper plate clocks which they design and decorate, to quiz each other.

One of the activities my students enjoy is the "living clock". Have each student stand facing the clock and while you call out the times _in order_ they move their hands to represent the time. I think this help some of them get the idea of "moins" as they come _up to_ the hour. I tell them to just think of moving their left hand/arm when they hear "moins".
