The report consists of a number of national- and state-level spreadsheets with data from Census 2000 broken down by type of household, age of householder, education attainment, and income. Some key findings: 215,423,557 Americans speak only English. 46,951,595 Americans speak a language other than English. 21,320,407 Americans speak English less than "very well."
