| Body | From: FROM: Rosalita Roach Rec'd message from David Castillo requesting articles for the NABE news. If interested in submitting an article please contact him at d_castillo@nabe.org Guidelines for the articles. First, all the articles should be written as a Word document, and they can be emailed to David. Second, the articles should not be more than 2000 words (about 5 pages typewritten, double spaced). THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT GUIDELINE THAT AUTHORS STICK TO. Third, the dealine is one month from yesterday, Oct. 15th. Pictures are always nice for articles and they would have to be sent as .jpeg. The theme for this issue is "Indigenous Languages." Some article topics they are interested in include: the preservation of Indigenous languages, teacher testimonials, any new research on the issue, indian education since passage and enactment of NCLB. These are a few ideas. Whatever pertains to bilingual education and indigenous languages is acceptable. This will be the pre-conference issue and attendees will have a copy at the conference in February. David can be contacted at 202.454.1403. Thanks for you help.
