| Body | From http://www.revels.org Revels is a non-profit performing arts company producing music theater, recordings and educational materials.Celebrations of different cultures using traditional materials and seasonal rituals is a common theme in Revels performances. Fully-staged and costumed performances are presented by a large volunteer chorus of children and adults drawn from the community, and a number of highly talented professional actors, musicians, artists, directors and "bearers of tradition" from many cultures. Audience participation is a Revels trademark. This year, The Christmas Revels pays homage to the frosty season with a lavish new production that takes us on a musical journey through Germany and the Swiss Alps in search of the roots of modern Christmas. Shows will be in Cambridge, Massachusetts; New York City; Washington, D.C.; Hanover, New Hampshire; Oakland, California; Haverford, Pennsylvania; Houston, Texas; Tacoma, Washington; Portland, Oregon, and Boulder, Colorado.
