| Title | Call for Papers: 2007 Meeting of the International Association for Language Learning Technology |
| Body | From http://iallt2007.lss.wisc.edu/conference/index.php IALLT '07: The Next Revolution in Language Learning Technology, the 2007 Meeting of the International Association for Language Learning Technology, hosted by Tufts University, will take place in Medford (Boston area), Massachusetts, June 20th-23rd, 2007. Pre-conference Workshops are Tuesday and Wednesday, June 19th and 20th. The International Association for Language Learning Technology is devoted to advancing the understanding of technology for language learning and welcomes proposals for conference presentations relating to the intersection of the teaching of languages and the use of technology. IALLT 2007's Program Committee is looking for proposals that show how technology can and will revolutionize the learning and teaching of languages. These proposals could have topics such as: - emerging technologies in support of language instruction, including: - computer-mediated communication - simulation and virtual environments - portable technologies - open source and other initiatives in the development of software for language instruction as well as new models for intra- and inter-institutional collaboration - issues surrounding language center design - legal and political issues affecting language learning and media development - assessment and research on language learning technologies, including case studies, action research and qualitative/quantitative analyses - other related topics (please contact the Program Committee with pre-proposals) Presentations will range from 45 minute sessions, one hour panels, and poster sessions to half-day and full-day workshops.
