Title | Resources for Heritage Language Teachers |
Body | You may already be familiar with the SALRC (South Asian Language Resource Center) at the University of Chicago, but I wanted to share a resource that may be useful in addressing the challenges of teaching heritage learners of non-western languages in particular. "SALRC sponsored a pre-conference symposium prior to the 25th meeting of the South Asian Language Analysis (SALA) roundtable, held at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, between September 16-18, 2005. Invited speakers presented papers on the theme of the symposium - Heritage Learners: Overcoming Curricular Challenges." Summaries of the papers and links to the authors can be found on the SALRC website. http://salrc.uchicago.edu/workshops/sponsored/091605 http://www.linguistics.uiuc.edu/sala25/preschedule.htm Lentz, U.
