Title | Introducing the NAEP Research e-Center: Resources for NAEP Data Users |
Body | From: NCESÂ’ National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has rolled out a new component of its web site. This component, called the Research e-Center, is designed to support the continued efforts of researchers and others studying NAEP findings by providing more information about the assessment's technical components. NAEP continually encourages and values the exploration, use, and secondary analysis of its assessment results, and we hope this new resource aids such efforts. On these pages, you can access a variety of reference tools and reports describing NAEP statistical terms and methodological topics of interest to both novice users of NAEP data and experienced secondary-data analysts. You can find out what NAEP data are available for analysis and get information on both online and CD-ROM analysis tools. You will also find listings of funding opportunities, data analysis training, and NAEP-related presentations at conferences. To begin your exploration of these NAEP research tools, go to: http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/researchcenter Check back often for new opportunities, reports, and notices of enhancements to data analysis tools. NAEP wants your feedback on this new section, so please submit your comments via the NAEP web site's "Contact Us" feature. |
