| Body | Dear Colleagues, We are please to announce the 2006 AATF/French Embassy/Washington Post French Language Fellowship and ask for your help in nominating worthy candidates and spreading the word about this opportunity. Complete information and the application form are available on the AATF Web site at http://www.frenchteachers.org . Application Deadline: Sept. 15, 2006 Fellowship Dates: Oct. 16-25, 2006 Where: Paris and Amiens, France (participants will visit the French Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs, visit schools at all levels elementary through university including a full day at a school comparable to their own, and enjoy cultural activities and excursions) Who: K-12 school and district administrators in public and private schools. 6 participants will be chosen by the Washington Post & French Embassy from the MD/DC/VA area and 4 participants will be chosen by the AATF. How: Applicants from outside the Washington Post readership area must be nominated by a current AATF member. Special note: Applicants in the MD, DC, northern VA readership areas of the Washington Post should apply directly to the Post (visit www.washpost.com/education for the specific counties covered). The fellowship covers the cost of round-trip travel from the airport nearest their home to Paris, all transportation and lodging expenses while in France and most meals.
