If language teaching makes you feel like bursting into song, check out these recent recommendations from the FLTEACH listserv. These were suggested as good sources of songs for children, but some may be appropriate for learners of all ages.

Chantons Francais is a series of 3 CDs that teach basic French vocabulary to beginners of all ages. The music styles are varied (rock, slow, tango, country, rap, salsa, etc.). Each song is followed by its instrumental version. Teacher's Discovery distributes them.

Josee Vachon is a member of a group named Chanterelle. Josee has a couple of cute CDs of children's songs "Chez nous...en casa" and "Ça fait rire les enfants". She has a beautiful Christmas CD too.
