TitleNew Culture Lessons Available Online
Body
A recent request for suggestions for incorporating culture into Spanish classes at the college level received the following reply.

----

We have recently been adding new topics to our "Cultural Notes" section. The latest are all accompanied by audio, and are on the whole quite compelling, I think. They are presented in both Spanish and English.

The latest have two versions, a short version and a long version, and the long version is accompanied by comprehension questions, along with links to related sites.

One possibility for using these is to intensively "teach" the short version, and then have the students listen to, and/or read the long version, and see how much they can understand.

The complete list is located here: http://www.studyspanish.com/comps/index.htm .

The latest all have the "loudspeaker icon" beside them. We have 40 more of these "in the can" and will be releasing them over the months to come.
