| Title | Europeans and Their Languages |
| Body | A new report released by the European Commission documents the linguistic diversity of the citizens of the European Union. The data is based upon a survey conducted from November to December of 2005, for which participants answered questions about how many and which languages they spoke. The results yield some interesting statistics about the 25+ participating nations, such as the percentage of EU citizens who speak one other language (56) or two other languages (28) well enough to have a conversation and the nation with the most citizens who speak another EU language (Luxembourg).
