TitleFun Speaking Activity
Body
Well, the AP test is over, we only have a week of school left, and my class is exempt from taking final exams. All of the teachers in my department are letting their AP classes "have fun", which means we're still working, but not letting the students know it.

I've pulled out all my German board games this week, shown a couple of German movies they hadn't seen yet, and yesterday I stumbled upon an interesting speaking activity.

The site http://www.inkblottestwallpaper.com has dozens of inkblots that can be enlarged to full screen size. I projected them on the big screen one at a time with my LCD, gave the students a couple of minutes to think about each one, then each student told (in German) what they saw. Some made up detailed stories about what was going on in the picture, some argued with their friends about what the inkblot looked like, and all of them stayed engaged right up until the bell.

Just wanted to share the idea in case anyone else needs an ungraded, high-interest activity for those days when we're "not doing anything".
