The salary is excellent (for Arequipa) and the support is great. If you or anyone you might know is interested, please look into this. Pablo Muirhead just returned from Arequipa, Peru Colegio Anglo Americano Prescott Prescott school has about 1200 students, aged 4 to 17. We have four educational levels within our campus: Kinder(4 and 5 year olds), Primary(Grades 1-5), Lower Secondary(Grades 6-8) and Upper Secondary(Grades 9-11). Our campus has a unique design, which makes it safe, spacious, and student friendly. Since we are a non profit private school, Asociación Educacional Anglo Americana Prescott is our promoter. This educational board determines the school policies and management. Our board looks after the conservation and improvement or the school´s infrastructure, guarantees the development of our educational mission with an intensive teaching of the English language and academic excellence. Prescott school is located in Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru. Arequipa is a quiet and peaceful city, surrounded by majestic volcanoes and built in a beautiful valley. Job description We are looking for a full time English teacher for the 5 & 6 grades (9-11 years old) and 3 year (14 years old). 40 hours a week, from 7:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. This person must be in Arequipa by August 7th. and start teaching on August 11th. The contract is until december 2003, but if the person is interested in staying at Prescott (and so is the school) another year contract can be signed. The salary is 580 dolars (which is a good salary for Arequipa) A degree in Education is preferable but we can consider college students aplicants.
