TitleClass Project Ideas
Body
A recent request on the FLTEACH listserv for ideas for having students create a bulletin board received the following suggestions. The original request was for a French class, but these ideas may inspire teachers of a wide range of languages and levels to design a variety of thematic projects.

I would do a pop music bulletin board. Your students could find artists' Web sites and print out pictures. In the process, they could also listen to music samples.

Adrienne, what about refranes in Spanish, or, proverbios? The students, or any visitor to your class, for that matter, might find these interesting.

I have an assortment of typical questions that students ask on one of my classroom bulletin boards. Not only is it a teaching tool, but it immediately catches the attention of visitors to the classroom as well.

Here is a site with a ton of pictures of bulletin boards our students have made over the years. They are organized by topic. They are all in Spanish but I hope you can at least get some ideas! http://spanport.byu.edu/hispanet/recursos_pedagogicos/materiales/carteleras.html

We just finished making menus in 7th grade and catalogs of clothing in 8th grade. These make great bulletin boards. Parents are coming soon for conferences. They love to see what the kids have done. My students also make brochures for cities in France and attractions in Paris. These are great for bulletin boards too.
