The Alliance of Associations of Teachers of Japanese has established a fund for the purpose of helping teachers who are members of the Association of Teachers of Japanese (ATJ) or the National Council of Japanese Language Teachers (NCJLT) take advantage of professional development and in-service training opportunities. A limited number of grants are available to individual teachers for a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $600. Funding may be used to cover workshop or conference attendance, as payment of substitute teachers during the time the applicant is participating in the activity, to develop curriculum, give a presentation, conduct action research, and other expenses. Applications must be submitted at least one month before the activity for which funding is requested takes place. Click on the link above to get more information and fill out an application form.
