| Body | Let me know if anyone is interested in teaching K-4 Spanish for the FABULOUS AIMS at Howe Hall, a new arts infusion magnet school in Goose Creek, SC. I have to move at the end of the school year and I'm so sad to be leaving this amazing community! Details: -Charleston, SC area - Berkeley County (ex: I live in North Charleston) -Arts infusion model run on a federal grant so our budget is safe at the moment -Well-behaved kids who are fanatic about learning Spanish -School size is about 250 kids -Supportive adminstrators who give you flexibilty -audio language lab -No set FL curriculum- I only go by state & national standards -1st-4th grade: I travel to the classes to do two 20 min. sessions in the classroom (classroom teacher usually stays and supports the lesson); plus the kids come to me in the SPANISH LAB (audio language lab) once a week for 30 min. -kindergarten: I teach their class 30 min/week (without teacher present) and I join them during their "center time" to speak spanish with small groups playing "house" or at the art table. -Amazing parent support and involvement -Enthusiastic group of innovative teachers If interested Email me at: StephanieAnderson@berkeley.k12.sc.us |
