For diverse schools such as those in Maryland's Montgomery County, where students may speak one or more of some 140 languages, communicating with parents is growing more and more complicated. Translators must be able to not only speak the required languages but also understand educational terms and acronyms which are difficult for even English speakers to keep up with.
