A recent request on the TESL listserv (Teachers of English to speakers of other languages electronic list. TESL-L@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU) for English textbook suggestions received many recommendations. Celce-Murcia and Larsen-Freeman's "The Grammar Book" was mentioned in three separate posts. Other nominees included:
