| Title | Ideas for Celebrating Mardi Gras with Young Learners |
| Body | A recent request on the FLTEACH listserv for materials and ideas for celebrating Mardi Gras with elementary students of French received the following suggestions. ---- Have you looked at momes.net? They have some information/activities for Carnaval. You could make masks (and talk about colors) and have a parade through the school. The class could make a bonhomme carnaval together (although I guess you probably wouldn't want to burn it!). You could use the bonhomme to review body parts and/or colors. If allergies aren't an issue, you could bring in a galette des rois and crown a king and/or queen to lead your parade. Harrington, C. Re: Mardi Gras for second grade.
