| Body | Apex Learning is a leading provider of online high school courses and curricular material. We currently have contractor positions available for Subject Matter Experts, Content Authors, and Spanish-language editors who will work together to create a new Advanced Placement Spanish Language course to be offered online. Contractors will work off-site using their own computers. Qualifications for these positions include: - Experience teaching Advanced Placement Spanish Language courses; - Native or near-native fluency in Spanish; - Native or near-native fluency in American English; - Excellent, demonstrable writing and/or editing skills in both Spanish and English; - Knowledge of and connections to Spanish-speaking cultures; - Experience creating and using computer-assisted language learning (CALL); - Faithful adherence to deadlines; - An up-to-date computer and fast Internet connection that can view multimedia on the Web; - Creativity, imagination, and an ability to engage teenagers with writing; and - Experience writing AP Exam-style test items. Time Requirement: Positions are available immediately and commitments range from several hours a week up to full time for up to one year, depending on expertise, qualifications, and availability.
