Audience/Description: The AATG is pleased to announce funding for summer language improvement scholarships for twenty future or new K-12 teachers of German each summer for 2006 and 2007. This summer the program will take place at the University of Leipzig from June 17 to July 15, 2006. This project is generously funded from the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit. The program is designed especially for teachers of German who seek to improve their command of German. Successful applicants will receive funding to cover up to $500 of their airfare, course fees in Germany, and room and board for four weeks to develop their German language skills. Also included are several excursions and cultural events, city tours, tutorial services, materials, and transportation costs in Leipzig.
