| Body | I generally don't spend much time on holidays at all, but when I do, I focus on cultural practices and historical significance. A good source of current authentic material on practices in France is the TF1 online news. http://hautdebit.tf1.fr/hautdebit/newsjt There tends to be more of the sort of cultural news in the 13h (midday news). For instance, today's 13h news broadcast includes reports on: - La conformité des jouets de Noël - La Sainte-Lucie illumine les rues de Montbéliard - Un atelier de bougies anciennes dans la Drôme - Une collectionneuse de Père Noël fait rêver les enfants - La tradition des pastorales aux Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer I find that these reports, though obviously superficial, tend to be interesting and often show me something that I haven't seen.
