Title | Songs for Learning Spanish-Speaking Countries |
Body | A recent request on the FLTEACH listserv for songs which help students learn the names of Spanish-speaking countries received the following suggestions. ---- Tacos 2 has the song "Los PaĆses Hispanos". Stavrou, M. Re: Spanish speaking countries song. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (22 Nov. 2005). ---- I am from Ecuador, and I remember a song that I used to sing on Columbus Day in school. The name of it is "Cantos a las America." It contains almost every Spanish speaking country. You can include Spain and Puerto Rico. It also mentions Canada and the United States, which I think is great because the Hispanic community is growing a lot in both countries. http://www.simon-bolivar.org/bolivar/canto_a_las_americas.html is the Web site, and it also has the music. If you have speakers, you will able to hear the music. Mieles, J. Re: Spanish speaking countries song. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (4 Dec. 2005). |
