| Body | The American Council on Immersion Education (ACIE) Fall Newsletter 2005 The fall issue of the ACIE newsletter has just been published. It includes the following articles: * Immersion 101: ACIE Articles Make Versatile Training Aids * Best Practices: Elementary Immersion Learning Strategies Guide * Research Report: The Impact of a Spanish Immersion Program on the Success of Students in Selected Elementary Schools in the Alamo Heights Independent School District * School Profile: Twin Cities German Immersion School * The Bridge from Research to Practice: Does Reading Approach Matter in Two-Way Immersion Programs? Each fall CARLA sends a copy of the newsletter to ACIE members and to each immersion school on the database maintained by the Center for Applied Linguistics. The winter and spring issues are sent only to ACIE members. There are two categories for membership; individual and institutional.
