Title | Tales for French Class |
Body | Here are some recommendations from a recent discussion on the FLTEACH listserv about good sources for fairy tales or folk tales to use in French class. ---- This Web site holds twelve books by Jean de la Fontaine, each with many short tales. The site is searchable by keyword and also provides information about the author. http://www.jdlf.com ---- A nice book with lots of French folk tales at an advanced high school level is "Contes et legends de France," edited by Andree Vary and published by the National Textbook Company. It includes "La Belle et la Bete" and "Cendrillon" as well as many unfamiliar to American teenagers. Galazin, S. Folk tales. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv.
