Title | Comment Jouer au Baseball |
Body | A recent request on the FLTEACH listserv for a French-language resource explaining the game of baseball received the following replies: ---- I bought a little book called SPORTS which is part of the Hachette Encyclopoches series. It has explanations of all sorts of sports and gives all sorts of technical terms that would otherwise be hard to find. Kanics, J. Comment jouer au baseball! Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (14 Oct. 2005). ---- I picked up a little book called Exceller au Baseball (ISBN 2-7619-0948-8). It explains all the equipment, field, positions, and procedures in French. It was originally written by an American (Dick Walker), and the title page says "traduit de l'americain par Philippe Masao Arpin" which amuses my students who think it should be "traduit de l'anglais." Rauschenberg, J.M. Re: Comment jouer au baseball! Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. By the way, they DO play baseball in France. Here's the site: http://www.ffbsc.org/ffbsc/federation/index.asp . Graham, D. Re: Comment jouer au baseball! Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv.
