New York's Museum of Modern Art this month will screen a selection of films produced by the only East German filmmaking body, DEFA (Deutsche Film-Aktiongesellschaft) studio. The films, which were made in the formerly communist country between 1946 and 1992, are part of the University of Massachusetts film library.
