The Department of German and the Kade Center at Dickinson College, in conjunction with the online scholarly journal “Glossen,” will host a Symposium on the works of Hans Joachim Schädlich from October 7-8, 2005 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. You are very welcome to attend all of the events!

Public Reading by Hans Joachim Schädlich in the Blumberg area of the College's library at 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 8

2:00 p.m.
Heinz Ludwig Arnold, Göttingen: "Der subersive Chronist Hans Joachim Schädlich."
3:00 p.m.
Theo Buck, Aachen: "'Schürfarbeit' im Bewußtsein. Zu Schädlichs Roman "Schott."
4:00 p.m.
Wolfgang Müller, Carlisle: "Intertextualität und Hypertextualität -- zu Tiefendimensionen in den Texten Hans Joachim Schädlichs."

20:00 o'clock in the Weiss Center
Jennifer Blyth, pianist, will play works by Bach-Busoni, Charles Ives, Ravel, and Wagner.
