Title | Ideas for an Airport Unit |
Body | A recent request on the FLTEACH listserv for activities for an airport unit received the following replies. ---- I used TPRS for this. I used the story and set up my classroom to be a travel agency, an airport and a plane and we pretended to take a trip to Spain making the preparations along the way. Cheek, H.R. Re: el aeropuerto. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (8 Sept. 2005). ---- Students work in pairs. One student is the agent and the other is the passenger who has lost their luggage and must fill out a "equipje perdida" report. Students practice filling out a ticket and boarding pass in Spanish (the tickets are copies from a trip I took) and then for part of the vocabulary quiz I pretend I am an agent welcoming the students on board to "AeroRomero" (yeah it's kind of cheesy but my middle schoolers get a kick out of it). Students have to fill out the ticket and boarding pass according to the info I give (flight number, time, destination/departure city, etc.) Romero, M. Re: el aeropuerto.
