| Title | Ideas for a 'Meet and Greet' |
| Body | A recent post to the FLTEACH listserv requesting ideas for a parent visitation night received the following replies. When I was teaching high school I would begin my parent night presentation with a listening activity the students had done in class that day. It only took a minute or two and the parents left with a little more understanding of what actually was happening in their child's class. Hinds, K. Re: meet and greet. I gave them a handout with essential information in English- contact phone number, email, grade break down etc. Sometimes we'd sing Sur le pont d'Avignon. The kids reported that their parents liked it. Ferree, R.M. Re: meet and greet. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (11 Sept. 2005). |
