Body | Opportunities to practice English in North Korea are still rare, but they are increasing. Most books, newspapers, advertisements, movies and songs in English are still illegal. However, the government, recognizing the importance of English in international affairs, has slowly begun to encourage students to speak with foreign visitors, to send them abroad, and to allow foreign teachers inside.
