Title | French TV Online |
Body | This site, recently suggested on the FLTEACH listserv, could be useful as a source for authentic teaching materials or for maintaining your own listening skills. ---- There are a number of interesting web sites for French TV shows that include video from the programs. One example is a currently popular "reality" show, Super Nanny, about a nanny who goes to help families with problem children. Generally I do not like such shows, but this has an interesting cultural twist that makes it useful for French teachers. It bring you into a real French home where you see people interacting (OK, "real" is relative and this is often a bit bizarre, but hey, it's in French). Yes there is a lot of yelling, but you also see people eating dinner, going shopping, going to the park, getting ready for school, taking a bath (private parts hidden), etc. http://www.m6.fr/html/emissions/super_nanny/index.shtml Take a look at the videos. Also, under Emissions, you might find other shows with online video. Ponterio, B. More French TV. Foreign Language Teaching Forum listserv. FLTEACH@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU (16 June 2005). |
