"Sesame Street" is aired in 120 countries, and there are 20 local productions which cater to the cultural and educational needs of that society. The Japanese version, for example, focuses more on emotional development than literacy skills, a South African show features an HIV-positive character, and a production out of Israel and Palestine encourages cross-cultural respect.
