The second-annual Closing the Achievement Gap conference is a broad professional training and public awareness event for educators, administrators, community leaders and parents, giving them opportunities to participate in a variety of workshops on strategies, techniques, and programs that Oregon schools are using to close the achievement gap in their communities. Participants will learn how to strengthen staff training and implement effective accountability models, community resources, and research-based classroom practices in their school improvement plans to increase achievement for all student populations.
