Title | Confusing Verb Pairs in Spanish |
Body | About.com's Spanish language site this week introduced an addition to its section on confusing verb pairs. The new page focuses on some common verbs that are translated the same way in English but which have subtly different meanings in Spanish, such as 'salir' and 'dejar,' 'aplicar' and 'solicitar,' and 'tener' and 'haber.' Also available are links to pages on 'fickle friends' (verbs which resemble English verbs but do not always have the same meaning), verbs meaning 'to take.' and quizzes on such pairs.
