8 Sidor is a website and app that is funded, in part, by the Swedish Ministry of Culture. It provides current news articles in simple Swedish. Aimed at beginning and intermediate learners, each article includes both written text and an audio recording of the text. These multimodal supports are apt to improve learning; the audio recording triggers each written word in the text is highlighted as it is pronounced.
