The University of Alaska Southeast, in collaboration with the Sealaska Hertiage Institute, has received a three-year grant to focus on langauge preservation via immersion in native Alaskan languages. The grant provides Alaska Native students with the opportunity to learn their heritage langauges with the purpose of teaching the languages to others.
