How can prejudice be explicit or subtle? This book examines this in the portrayal of Muslims and Islam in over 140 million words of newspaper articles. The purpose behind this book is to paint an image of media attitudes towards Muslims and Islam in UK media. This book would be a compelling read for those interested in discourse analysis and corpus linguistics, while still providing explanations of linguistic terminology to be accessible to a general audience.
