While authentic production is important, modeling is also a valuable tool to use in the classroom, especially for language learning beginners. Students can see what their teacher is doing and use that to help them confidently try new language from a familiar base form. This article provides a narrative on how one teacher is successfully using modeling in their classroom that could be inspiring or thought-provoking for other English teachers.
