Listening in any language is hard; however, this article argues that it is particularly difficult in Chinese. While the article does not give the reader any explicit suggestions on how to make listening easier, it does identify the aspects of the language that make it so tricky, encouraging teachers and students to pay attention to the problem areas. Hopefully that attention will result in higher quality listening skills.
