This article describes the mythological creature, the Manticore. It begins with a physical description but then contextualizes the creature within several ancient texts presented in their original languages. This article would be great for young learners to become interested in classical languages as the teacher could simply recount the passages to them in their native language. It would also be good for advanced learners who could practice reading and working with the texts.
