Language exchanges are agreements between people who speak different languages to meet and learn from each other. Often in language exchanges, both people will speak in one language for a certain amount of time, and then they will switch to the other language. However, the crosstalk method involves each person speaking his/her first language, in the same conversation. This way both people practice their listening skills, but don't have to produce in the target language.
