• Roundtable discussions.
• Presentations on scholarly topics from Middle Eastern and African studies, and related disciplines.
• Featured panel discussions on: Strategy, Nationhood, and Identity: Lessons from the Middle East and Africa; The Challenges, Successes and Limits of Decolonization in Africa; Reading the Qurʾān: Between Certainty and Ambiguity; Chinese and North Korean Strategy and Activities in the Middle East and Africa; Shifting Narratives and Encounters in Colonial and Cold War Africa; The Iraqi Affair Revisited: Saddam Hussein, His Inner Circle, and the Failure of American Intelligence; The United States and Israel: Territory, Peacemaking and Conflict in the Middle East 1974-1982, and; The Persian Gulf and the Great Powers, among others.
