| Body | From https://finnfest.us/finnfest-2019/ Each year, FinnFest USA creates a pop-up town celebrating the connections between Finland and the USA. In 2019, the festival travels to Detroit from September 19-22. Thursday will involve three all-day seminars (Labor History, Genealogy, and Finnish language learning). On Friday/Saturday, seminars and workshops will share space and time with a tori featuring booths selling products and presenting information. On Sunday, guided tours will unwrap both historic and contemporary Detroit. All-ages community events celebrating Finnish America through song, food, and folk dancing are also daily occurrences. There will be opportunities to learn Finnish, to enjoy nature at the historic Finn Camp, and to connect with old friends and make new ones.
